INGREDIENTS
1lb lean ground turkey (I use 99% lean turkey but any ground meat you like is great!)
1/2 yellow onion
1 green bell pepper
1 can black beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can chili beans in mild sauce
2 cans Diced tomatoes (fire roasted are great for this!)
1 packet chili seasoning
Cumin, Chili Powder, Minced Garlic to taste (I do full tablespoons)
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
DIRECTIONS
Cook ground turkey in skillet on medium heat until fully cooked through, add cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, minced garlic, and salt/pepper to taste.
While the turkey is cooking dice up your yellow onion and bell pepper, (I like to cook mine down a bit in the skillet after the turkey is removed, but you can add it to the crock pot raw or from a frozen state.)
Dump the rest of the ingredients into your crock pot (no need to drain or rinse anything) and stir until combined.
Cook on low for at least 2 hours until everything is hot and the chili has simmered for a while.
Enjoy in a bowl, frito-pie, on a potato, whatever you like!
