TURKEY BURGERS

Makes 4 patties at 146 calories each.

The best thing about turkey burgers is that you can season them and dress them up anyway you like! For this meal prep I tried some new ideas and i love the flavor it gave these burgers! You can use ground beef or ground chicken for this recipe as well! If you like spice a little bit of buffalo sauce mixed with the meat would be amazing!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1lb ground turkey (or any ground meat of choice, I use 99% fat free to keep points low)

  • 2 Tbsp light mayo

  • 1 Tbsp Mustard (Dijon is what i had on hand but any will do!)

  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • Garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.

  • Dried parsley, for fun and color, lol.

DIRECTIONS

1. Start heating up your skillet to medium, medium low heat.

2. Mix all ingredients in with your ground turkey and mix until well combined. You can add a few tablespoons of bread crumbs if you find it necessary.

3. Divide the burger mixture into 4 even sections and form them into patties. I like to make the center of mine a little thinner because they puff up when they cook and I find they cook more evenly this way, thanks Rachel Ray!

4. I cook them 2 at a time in the skillet with a little cooking spray and the skillet covered to ensure the burgers cook inside too. About 5 minutes on each side then move off to a plate to rest.

5.Eat immediately or cool completely before adding them to your meal prep containers!

I served mine bunless on a bed of lettuce, tomato, pickles and Tzatziki sauce! Whatever burger toppings you love will work! Add cheese and bacon if you’re really fancy! Make these your own, get creative!
