ZERO POINT MARINARA

Yields 10 1/2 cup servings at 55 calories per serving.

One of the WW Staples! Zero point marinara is so easy and perfect to keep on hand for busy weeks or in the freezer for a last minute meal! Perfect for pasta, pizza, dipping sauce and calzones, you can’t go wrong with this marinara sauce!


INGREDIENTS


  • 2 large cans crushed tomatoes (Just 1 is fine too!)

  • 1 can diced tomatoes

  • 1/2 large yellow onion

  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic (if you have it!)

  • 1/2 can (or 3oz) Tomato Paste

  • 4-6 Tbsp Italian Seasoning

  • 3 Tbsp Dried Parsley

  • 2 Tbsp Garlic Powder

  • Salt & Pepper to taste


DIRECTIONS


  1. Start by cooking down your onion on a medium-high heat, until translucent and soft.

  2. Add minced garlic if you have it and let that cook with the onion for 1 minute.

  3. Combine all ingredients in your crock pot or large pot on the stove and let it simmer on a low heat for at least an hour but up to 6 hours! I stir it occasionally, but that’s not necessary – especially when using your crock pot!
